Meet The Family

Good Morning Everyone,

Hi all, so to start our day off I thought I'd tell you a little bit about my family and friends.

We'll start with my mama. She used to be a math teacher then worked for the USGS till she had me. After that she raised us kiddos and even started homeschooling us. Now that my brother and I are in and out of high school she runs a dessert catering company and goes to concerts.

Next my little brother ( hes younger but definitely taller than me). He'll be a sophmore this yearand he loves video games and computer work. He is also super involved in boy scouts and works as a parking attendant for concert venue.

We have two cats Spazzz and Stella. They're both shelter cats. Spazzz is 5 and Stella is 6 and she's like a mommy cat to him. He's black and loves to play and explore. Stella is a fat mancoon who just loves to cuddle and takes naps ( although sometimes Spazzz can convince her to play).

My best friend is super fun and almost family. She's studying to be a chef and loves music. Recently she's been into German pop music and is crazy talented in playing musical instruments.

Finally I'll finish up with my little sisters. One of them I met through school and we volunteer at a rescue horse center. The other one is my next door neighbor for as long as I can remember. We love watching Harry Potter together and run weekly 5K's.

I hope you enjoyed learning about the VIPs in my life, I'm sure you'll grow to love them just as I do as you here about their antics.

My To Do List

Good Morning Everyone,

So I thought with thirty days till I move into my dorm in university I'd give you guys my todo list and keep you up to date on its progress as it goes, alright?

1. Forward AP scores to school ( I'll be earning close to 30 credits, almost a whole years worth! $15 dollars must be done by July 29th)
2. Buy room stuff from rhl.com ( $260 must be done asap. It'll be delivered to my dorm isn't that neat)
3. Listerv emails ( Its a super cool way to keep in touch with my program at school)
4. Student data retrieval tool ( it updates from my taxes, until I get this done I won't be able to see my financial aid letter)
5. Call the office of financial aid about mom's W2's ( will explain later) (see above)
6. 2015 verification worksheet ( see above)
7. Buy textbooks ( so exciting)
8. College shopping ( budget $1,000) ( will add list asap)
9. Look into loans ( hoping to get them waved will explain later)
10. Update resume ( want a sneak peak?)
11. Look into more scholarships ( college is expensive)
12. Revamp organizations tools
13. Sort through room for possible packing
14. Get savings bonds from mom
15. Read Cumbres book ( its for my ESL degree written by non-native speakers, will report back)
16. Review university materials ( there's so much to learn!)
17. Find insurance card and registration ( I might have lost them behind the passenger seat of my car)
18. Voter registration ( the next election is coming up soon)
19. Email special ed adviser ( want to add gen ed to my degree so its early and gen)
20. Get replacement Social Security Card
21. Check on health insurance ( need to unsubscribe from uni one)
22. Take winter coat to dry cleaners
23. Wash bedding ( covered in cat hair)
24. Exfoliate and wax ( personal hegine is no joke)
25. Schedule OB/GYN appt.
26. Look into BIA teaching
27. Wash all clothing stored in basement (before move in)

What do you guys think? Can I get this all done before move in? Lets hope so!

Welcome To The Family

Good Morning Everyone,

I thought I'd introduce myself before we begin this crazy adventure together. I decided to start this blog as a bit of an outlet. I hope it becomes part mommy-blogger part travel blog with some advice, work outs, and other goodies tossed it. Maybe I'll abandon this at some point like I've abandoned others in the past but I hope this works out in the long run.

So who am I?

I'm an eighteen year old cis-gendered hetreonormal female living in the United States. I'm starting at a state university in the fall ( just 30 short days till move in) to study special needs education and English as a second language. I'm a big sister, an old soul, and a Christian.

Now I know you're thinking how can I learn anything from this middle class white girl who's no different than any other girl with a blog? I'm right aren't I? Well I hope as you read and I tell my story perhaps you'll find that I've faced my struggles and have come out for the better. Maybe you can learn from my mistakes or just pass over this blog as you've passed over countless others. I guess only time will tell.
